Online genealogies indicate that she was the daughter of Andrew Braddock Jones and Esther Hart Baldwin. Supporting that assertion is the fact that Polly Bemis was referred to as the sister of Andrew B. Jones of Rochester, Wisconsin in his will, written 1 Jan 1852. Andrew B. Jones may be the son of Andrew Braddock Jones mentioned above. Andrew B. Jones died 1 July 1853. His will leaves property to the children of Polly Bemis, identified in the probate records as: Helen M. Bemis, Duressa A. Bemis, Amber E. Bemis, and Cora M. A. Davis.¹
